SBUV/2 Version 8 Ozone Retrieval Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document (ATBD)
In order to download data in bulk, please visit NOAA's anonymous FTP site at ftp.orbit.nesdis.noaa.gov/ and log in using "anonymous" (without the quotes) as the user name and your e-mail address as the password. Change directories (cd) to /pub/smcd/spb/ozone/dvd_v8/ for Nimbus-7, NOAA-9, and NOAA-11 data or /pub/smcd/spb/ozone/dvd_v8_extended/ for NOAA-16 and NOAA-17 data. General information about the data available is provided in these directories. From these locations, data can be found by changing directories to V8DATA, the instrument you are interested in (e.g., Nimbus07 or Noaa16), and the year you are interested in (e.g., Y2007). Once in the directory with the desired data, using the "mget" command with appropriate wildcards will allow you to download specific months or other subsets of data.
